PVC Film Pressing Process

The pressing process of PVC film can be mainly divided into the following steps:

Raw material preparation: According to the specifications of the membrane to be produced, prepare an appropriate amount of PVC raw materials, weigh and proportion them, to ensure the quality and performance of the membrane produced

Heating and melting: Put the PVC raw material into the hot melt machine, and use electric heating or thermal medium heating to change the PVC raw material from solid to liquid at high temperature. During this process, the temperature and speed of the hot melt machine need to be controlled to ensure that the PVC raw materials can be melted evenly.

Calendering: After the molten PVC raw material is heated, it is turned into a film of a certain width and thickness through the action of a calender. In the calender, by controlling the rotation speed and pressure of the two rollers, the molten PVC raw material is evenly extruded to form a film between the rollers. At the same time, according to needs, textures, patterns, etc. can be added to the surface of the film.

Cooling and solidification: The calendered film needs to be cooled through a cooling roller system to solidify the PVC and maintain the required thickness.

Subsequent processing: Depending on the intended use of the film, additional processing may be required. For example, if the film is used for packaging, it can be printed with a design using a printer, or it can be coated with a protective layer.

Winding and Boxing: The processed film is rolled into rolls using a winding machine, and then the rolls are boxed and ready for shipment to customers.

During the entire pressing process, attention must also be paid to controlling process parameters, such as molding workpiece spacing, pressure settings, etc., to ensure the quality and performance of the PVC film. At the same time, finishing work such as fixing pipelines and cleaning the construction site is also essential.

Please note that the specific pressing process may vary depending on different manufacturers, equipment and product requirements. In actual operations, the process parameters and operating guidelines provided by the manufacturer should be strictly followed to ensure that the quality and performance of the PVC film are optimal.
